Dentures

Losing teeth can be a real blow to a person’s self-confidence and cause problems with chewing and oral hygiene. Dentures have been used to solve this problem for decades.

While alternative methods of replacing teeth, like implants, are becoming popular, dentures have proven to be effective for those who simply want an affordable way to improve their smile.

Don’t suffer with dentures that no longer fit properly.

Often people feel they need to just deal with a poorly fitting denture that they have had for years. Changes in bone and gum tissue over the course of time can lead to dentures that should be replaced.

There are several signs that you may need a new denture. These can include:

  • Ongoing pain or sore spots
  • Extra wrinkles around your mouth
  • Clicking, whistling, slipping dentures
  • Chewing problems
  • Slurred speech
  • Routine need for denture adhesive and/or pads

With a wide range of tooth shapes and colours to choose from, we can now give our patients a high-quality realistic looking set of replacement teeth that feel great.

Implant Retained Dentures

Dental implants now offer denture wearers an option for securing their denture in a way that feels more like real teeth. This is accomplished by placing several implants in the patient’s jawbone to which their current denture can be secured.

A secure denture allows the wearer to eat foods they no longer thought possible, like steak and corn-on-the-cob. Securing a denture in this way can also allow the removal of the portion of the top plate that covers the palate. Without this plate, patients can once again experience the tastes and textures of their food like a person without dentures.
